US technology services

Technology that works.
And keeps working.

Aletheia Labs designs, builds, secures and operates software, websites and digital infrastructure for public agencies and the organizations that serve them.

Based in Louisville, Kentucky. Serving clients nationwide. hello@aletheialabs.us

Capabilities

From first deployment to everyday operations.

We are not only interested in the build. The phases either side of it are where systems, and contracts, are won or lost.

  1. 01

    Plan

We establish what the system has to do, what it must integrate with, and which security and compliance constraints apply, before anyone writes code.

  2. 02

    Build

Implementation in short iterations against a running environment, reviewed as it goes rather than assessed at the end.

  3. 03

    Deploy

Automated, repeatable releases into environments defined in code, each with a rollback path that has been exercised.

  4. 04

    Operate

Patching, backups, certificates, monitoring and incident response: the work that decides whether the system is still healthy in year three.

  5. 05

    Improve

Measured changes based on how the system behaves in production, not on a roadmap written before it existed.

Infrastructure

Infrastructure without the noise.

Servers, cloud environments, DNS, certificates, deployment, backups, monitoring and hardening: described, documented and operated.

    Aletheia
  • Monitoring

Uptime, resource and certificate checks across every layer

  • Backup

Scheduled, encrypted, retained offsite and restore-tested

  • Servers and environments

Cloud, GovCloud, VPS and dedicated environments, provisioned from a repeatable configuration and separated by purpose.

  • DNS, TLS and delivery

Zones and records under control, certificates issued and renewed automatically, caching and edge rules that match the traffic.

  • Backups and recovery

Scheduled, encrypted, retained offsite, and restored on a schedule, because an untested backup is an assumption.

  • Monitoring and security

Uptime, resource and certificate checks, least-privilege access, tracked patching, and a documented view of what is exposed.

Engineering

Built by engineers.

Good technology is not defined by how complicated it looks. It is defined by how reliably it performs.

  • 01

    Frontend

Interfaces that stay fast and legible under real conditions: mid-range devices, poor networks, assistive technology.

  • 02

    Backend

Application logic with explicit boundaries, predictable failure behavior and no hidden state.

  • 03

    APIs

Versioned, documented interfaces designed for the systems that will consume them, including the ones not built yet.

  • 04

    Databases

Schema design, indexing and migration strategy: the layer where performance problems actually originate.

  • 05

    Cloud

Environments described in code, separated by purpose, and rebuildable without archaeology.

  • 06

    DevOps

Pipelines that make releasing routine, and configuration that lives in version control rather than in someone’s memory.

  • 07

    Security

Least privilege, managed secrets, current dependencies, and a known answer to what is exposed to the internet.

  • 08

    Automation

Removing the manual steps that quietly consume a team’s week and eventually get skipped under pressure.

  • 09

    Distributed systems

Consensus, replication and partition behavior, including the distributed ledgers where getting those three right is the entire product.

  • 10

    Applied cryptography

Using established primitives correctly: key custody, signing, transport security and hashing. We implement protocols; we do not invent ciphers.

Why Aletheia Labs

Five things we hold ourselves to.

Not differentiators invented for a website. These are the working standards an engagement is actually run against.

  • 01

    Clear engineering

We write code and documentation intended for whoever maintains the system next. Complexity is a cost, and we account for it.

  • 02

    Reliable infrastructure

Backups that have been restored, certificates that renew themselves, monitoring that alerts a person. Reliability is procedure, not luck.

  • 03

    Direct communication

Contracting officers and program managers speak to the engineer doing the work. No account layer translating your problem into a ticket and back again.

  • 04

    Long-term thinking

We build systems we would be willing to operate for the full period of performance and beyond, because in many engagements that is exactly what happens.

  • 05

    Practical technology

We choose established, supportable tools that fit the problem and your team’s ability to maintain them, not whatever is currently in fashion.

Selected work

Built for banks. Run in production.

Systems delivered by our founder, Emeka Iwuagwu, before and alongside Aletheia Labs. References are provided to contracting officers on request.

  • Banking

    Enterprise e-signature platform

An in-house electronic signature solution built as an alternative to commercial services such as DocuSign, giving the bank full control of its signing workflow and documents.

Company

A technology company built for the real world.

Aletheia Labs is an American technology services company. We build software, websites and web applications, and we secure and run the infrastructure underneath them.

The work is deliberately unfashionable: understand the problem, choose tools the client can live with, write it down, keep it running. Most of what makes technology dependable is procedure rather than brilliance.

Based in Louisville, Kentucky. Serving clients nationwide.

Aletheia Labs LLC is a Kentucky limited liability company. We work with government agencies and businesses across the United States, remotely by default and on site when a project genuinely needs it.
