Overview
Where this actually helps.
A public website is often the first and only contact a citizen or customer has with an organization. When it is slow, confusing or inaccessible, the cost lands on phone lines, front desks and the people who could not get what they came for.
We treat accessibility and performance as acceptance criteria rather than a post-launch audit. Section 508 and WCAG 2.2 AA are the working target; pages are measured against a performance budget on mid-range phones and poor connections, not on a developer laptop.
Every site we hand over can be updated by the people responsible for its content, with a publishing workflow that matches how they actually approve changes.
What this covers
Capabilities.
An engagement is scoped from these. Nothing here is a package: the combination depends on what you already have.
Public websites
Information-heavy sites organized around what visitors are trying to do, with search, clear navigation and plain-language content structure.
Web applications and portals
Online forms, applications, account areas and self-service portals that replace paper and phone processes with something trackable.
Accessibility
Semantic markup, keyboard operation, screen reader testing and color contrast built in from the start. Conformance documented, not assumed.
Content management
A content system sized to your team, with roles, review steps and revision history, so publishing does not depend on a developer.
Performance engineering
Measured page weight, server rendering, image handling and caching so pages stay fast for visitors on any device or network.
Website migration
Moving from an aging platform without losing content, search rankings or inbound links. Redirects mapped, tested and kept.
How we work
How an engagement runs.
Four stages, in this order, on every project. The detail changes; the sequence does not.
-
01
Discover
Audience, top tasks, existing content and constraints. We read the analytics and the support inbox before we draw a single page.
-
02
Structure
Information architecture, content model and page templates agreed in writing, with accessibility requirements attached to each.
-
03
Build
Templates and components implemented against real content, reviewed on real devices and with assistive technology as they are built.
-
04
Launch
Redirects, monitoring, analytics and an editor walkthrough. Launch is a rehearsed procedure, not an event.
