Accessibility
How this website is built to work for everyone, and how to tell us when it does not.
Accessibility is part of how we build every system, including this one.
Our commitment
Aletheia Labs builds accessible systems for public-sector clients, and we hold our own website to the same standard. Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, which also meets the Section 508 technical standards.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure and labeled landmarks
- A skip link to bypass navigation, and visible focus indicators on every interactive element
- Full keyboard operation, including the mobile menu and contact form
- Text and interface colors that meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios
- Descriptive alternative text for informative images and text equivalents for diagrams
- Animation that respects the reduced-motion setting in your operating system
- Form fields with visible labels and error messages announced to assistive technology
Known limitations
The downloadable capability statement PDF is designed for print. If you need it in another format, ask and we will provide an accessible alternative.
